“WHAT A SACRIFICE!”

Romans 5

"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us".

In this passage we can see two things:

1) The nature of the people Jesus´ died for: humanity, since the first couple sinned, has been fighting against its nature, though we were originally created like HIM. But that didn´t stopped the Son of God, Jesus didn´t came to Earth and said: “Ok guys, I´m going to give my life for anyone who believes in me and obeys my Father´s commandments. I´m going to die for my friends and followers”. Exactly the opposite, He died for the unrighteous, to give them hope and salvation.

2) The greatness of Jesus´ sacrifice: He came to Earth not for the right but for the sinner. Through HIS love we can cast away condemnation and accept justification from His own hands by what accepted to suffer for our freedom.

Prayer: Father please help us to not be too late at recognizing that only through Jesus we can get closer to you and be saved. Help us to teach others about this truth before Jesus comes back.
