“Behind every great RIGHT there is a great OBLIGATION”. (Part I)

“4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. " Rom 12

Rights involve obligations. We have a heavenly contract, the most important agreement we could ever make in life because there are eternal implications to it.

Why should we choose to be part of a Christian community instead of carrying on being part of the secular environment where we used to or could live?

Some of the characteristics we expect to find in a Christian community that we rarely find elsewhere are words of encouragement in time of anguish, sincere smiles in times of happiness, help when it is needed the most. In other words, to feel that we are part of something greater than anything we could be part of: THE UNITY OF THE BODY OF CHRIST.

One of our duties in the Body of Christ is COMMITMENT. There is only one type of COMMITMENT in Christian life, we cannot be half committed, we are totally committed or we are not at all, and Jesus is the best example not only teaching but practicing His faith. (“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder”. James 2:17-19).

UNITY is kept by COMMITMENT. There is not COMMITMENT without SACRIFICE and SACRIFICE is made when we DENY ourselves for the common well-being.

UNITY > COMMITMENT > SACRIFICE > DENIAL

All these changes start individually and are part of our spiritual maturity. Maturity comes through our relationship with the Holy Spirit, the daily bread we receive and the daily worship we offer. Then, corporately, we will enjoy the results. This is a contagious process, because just as when our ears begin listening to music our feet dance, our hands clap, our mouth sings and the rest of the body rejoice, so as a church we will learn to rejoice together. Just as when our eyes cry the rest of the body remains quiet, so we will learn to be sad together. This is what is all about, many members but joined by one feeling, one vision, and one faith that makes us stronger and more blessed.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, (Rom 15:5) AMEN!!!

“Detrás de cada gran DERECHO hay una gran OBLIGACIÓN.” (Parte I)

“4 para así como cada uno de nosotros tiene un cuerpo con muchos miembros, y estos miembros no hacen todos tienen la misma función, 5 para que en Cristo nosotros, aunque muchos, forme un cuerpo, y cada miembro pertenece a todos los otros. 6 nosotros tenemos regalos diferentes, según la gracia dada a cada uno de nosotros. Si su regalo está profetizando, entonces profetice de acuerdo con su fe; 7 si está sirviendo, entonces sirve; si está enseñando, entonces enseña; 8 si es animar, entonces dé el estímulo; si está dando, entonces dé generosamente; si es llevar, hágalo diligentemente; si es mostrar la misericordia, hágalo alegremente." Rom 12

Derechos involucran obligaciones. Tenemos un contrato celestial, el acuerdo más importante de nuestras vidas porque tiene implicaciones eternas.

¿Por qué deberíamos escoger ser parte de una comunidad cristiana en lugar de continuar siendo parte del ambiente secular al cual solíamos o podríamos pertenecer?

Algunas de las características que esperamos encontrar en una comunidad cristiana que raramente encontramos en otra parte son: palabras de estímulo en tiempo de angustia, sonrisas sinceras en momentos de felicidad, ayuda cuando más se necesita. En otras palabras, sentir que somos parte de algo mucho mayor y mejor que cualquier otra comunidad u organización de la cual podríamos ser parte: LA UNIDAD DEL CUERPO DE CRISTO.

Asi como tenemos innumerables ventajas, también tenemos ciertos deberes en el Cuerpo de Cristo, uno de ellos es el COMPROMISO. Hay sólo un tipo de COMPROMISO en la vida cristiana, no podemos ser personas medias comprometidas, ó estamos totalmente comprometidos o no lo estamos en lo absoluto, y Jesús es el mejor ejemplo de ello, no solo enseñando pero practicando Su fe. (“De la misma manera, fe solo, si no se acompaña por la acción, está muerto. Pero alguien dirá," Usted tiene la fe; yo tengo los hechos." Muéstreme su fe sin los hechos, y yo le mostraré mi fe por lo que yo hago. Usted cree que hay un Dios. ¡Bueno! Incluso los demonios creen que los that—and se estremecen.” James 2:17-19).

La UNIDAD se mantiene a través del COMPROMISO. No hay COMPROMISO sin SACRIFICIO y el SACRIFICIO es hecho cuando nos NEGAMOS a nosotros mismos por el bienestar común.

UNIDAD > COMPROMISO > SACRIFICIO > NEGACION

Todos estos cambios empiezan individualmente y son parte de nuestra madurez espiritual. La madurez se va desarrollando a medida que nuestra relación con el Espíritu santo es alimentada ( el pan diario que recibimos y la alabanza diaria que ofrecemos). Luego, colectivamente, todos disfrutaremos los resultados. Éste es un proceso contagioso, porque así como cuando nuestros oídos comienzan a escuchar música nuestros pies bailan, nuestras manos aplauden, nuestra boca canta y el resto del cuerpo se regocija, asi, como una iglesia, todos aprenderemos a regocijarnos juntos. Así como cuando nuestros ojos lloran, el resto del cuerpo permanece callado, y todos los miembros del cuerpo aprenden a estar tristes juntos. De esto es de lo que se trata la UNIDAD DEL CUERPO DE CRISTO, muchos y diferentes miembros pero unidos por una visión, una esperanza y una fe que nos hacen más fuertes y bendecidos.

¡Pueda el Dios que da paciencia y estímulo déle un espíritu de unidad entre ustedes mismos como usted siga a Cristo Jesus, (Rom 15:5) AMÉN!!!

What are you doing with your birthright?

“Look, I am about to die, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!”, Esau said. Jacob replied, “First sell me your birthright.” “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to me?”…So Esau despised his birthright”. Gen 25:29-34: Gen 27

Before Jesus came the birthright was only for the first child born but we have been born again in Jesus Christ and now we own a birthright that nobody could take from us except ourselves. What kind of birthright the Lord has given you at this time? In your house, work, church, between your dear beings and friends? When the Lord created you He not only saw that it was good but He made you possessor of a unique gift, something special that you own to do a specific work, to be a pioneer, to start and lead what He has set in your heart.

Esau underestimated his birthright changing it for some stew, and afterwards his blessing was stolen by Jacob. He did not realize that a birthright is not negotiable or transferable, you cannot deny it unless you are ready to accept the consequences. We know that God blessed Esau many years later because of His mercy but if he had valued his birthright from the beginning he would not have suffered what he did.

It is so good to give our responsibilities to somebody else and just try to enjoy the benefits. But remember that the Israelites had to go through the desert before enjoying the Promised Land. Your birthright does not only include blessings, leadership and power from God, but sacrifice, responsibilities and testimony.

Then…
1) Find out what is your birthright. Maybe God is allowing you to start a cell group at home, or is setting in your heart to pray for someone. Perhaps it is in your secular space sharing your beliefs people who do not know anything Jesus. Ask God what your birthright is, He will be so glad to answer your prayer.
2) Get ready to deserve and exercise it. Revelation 19:9 says “Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb”. But are we dressed ourselves with our best clothes for this occasion?
3) Recognize that all this things are for HIS GLORY and PRAISE HIM all the time.
4) Do not be afraid He will never leave you alone.
5) Use your birthright to bless others around you.

God Father in Heaven gave you a birthright endowing you with a particular gift to develop it for His glory. Jesus Christ sacrificed himself because He believed you could do it. And The Holy Spirit is beside you to helping and guiding you.

¿QUÉ ESTÁS HACIENDO CON TU PRIMOGENITURA?

“¡Mira, estoy a punto de morir, dame un poco de ese estofado! Estoy hambriento!”, Esau dijo. Jacob contestó, “Primero véndeme tu primogenitura.” “Mira, yo estoy a punto de morirse,” Esau dijo. “De qué me sirve la primogenitura?”… Así que Esau despreció su primogenitura.” Gen 25:29-34: Gen 27

Antes de que Jesús viniera a este mundo los derechos que te daba la primogenitura era sólo para el primer hijo, el primogénito, pero nosotros hemos nacido de nuevo en Cristo Jesús y ahora nosotros poseemos una primogenitura que nadie podría quitarnos excepto nosotros mismos. ¿Qué tipo de primogenitura el Señor te esta dando en este momento? ¿En tu casa, trabajo, la iglesia, entre tus seres queridos y/o amigos?.

Cuando el Señor te creó Él no sólo vio que eras bueno pero también te hizo poseedor de un don único, algo especial que solo tú posees para hacer un trabajo específico, para ser un pionero, empezar y llevar a cabo lo que sea que Él ha puesto en tu corazón.

Esau desestimó su primogenitura cambiándola por un plato de estofado, y después Jacobo robó su bendición. Él no comprendió en ese momento que su primogenitura no era negociable o transferible, no puedes negarla o desecharla a menos que estés listo para aceptar las consecuencias. Nosotros sabemos que Dios bendijo Esau muchos años después debido a Su misericordia pero si él hubiera valorado su primogenitura desde el principio no habría sufrido lo que sabemos sufrió.

Es muy cómodo dar nuestras responsabilidades a alguien más y simplemente intentar disfrutar los beneficios. Pero recuerda que los israelitas tuvieron que pasar por el desierto antes de disfrutar la Tierra Prometida. Tu primogenitura no sólo incluye bendiciones, liderazgo y poder de Dios, sino sacrificio, responsabilidades y testimonio.

Entonces…

1) Descubre cual es tu primogenitura. ¿A qué fuiste llamado? ¿Para qué fuiste escogido? ¿Qué dones y habilidades Dios a puesto en ti para que pongas en práctica? Pregúntale al Señor cual es tu primogenitura, Él se alegrará de contestar tu oración.

“Clama a mí, y yo te responderé, y te enseñaré cosas grandes y ocultas que tú no conoces” Jer 3:33

2) Prepárate para merecerla y ejercerla. Apo 19:9 dice “Bendito sean aquéllos que son invitados a la cena de las bodas del Cordero.” Nos regocijamos con esta invitación! ¿Pero, estamos vestidos con nuestro mejor traje para esta ocasión???

3) Reconoce que todo esto es para SU GLORIA, y ALABALO siempre.
“llenos de frutos de justicia que son por medio de Jesucristo, para gloria y alabanza de Dios” Fil 1:11

4) No tengas miedo porque Él nunca te dejará solo.
“Y Jehová va delante de ti; él estará contigo, no te dejará, ni te desamparará;c no temas ni te intimides” Deu 31:8

5) Usa tu primogenitura para bendecir a otros alrededor tuyo.
“Y haré de ti una nación grande, y te bendeciré, y engrandeceré tu nombre, y serás bendición” Gen 12:2

Recuerda…

Dios Padre en el Cielo te dio una primogenitura dotándote de un don especial que solo tu posees con el fin de desarrollarlo para Su gloria. Cristo Jesús se sacrificó porque Él creyó que tu eras capaz de hacerlo. Y El Espíritu Santo está justo a tu lado para ayudarte y guiarte en el camino.
